1 Delete your account in the app

This is the fastest way — your account is deactivated immediately, and you're signed out on every device.

1. Open the Kugoo app and go to your Profile tab.
2. Tap Edit Profile (Customer) or Settings (Vendor / Rider).
3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
4. Confirm — your account is deactivated right away.

If you have an order or delivery still in progress, Kugoo will ask you to wait until it's completed before deleting your account — this protects any funds held in escrow for that order.

2 Request deletion without the app

If you've uninstalled the app or can't sign in, email us from the address registered to your account and we'll delete it for you.

3 What happens to your data

Deleting your account immediately:

• Signs you out on every device and blocks further sign-in;
• Removes your profile, photo, and saved addresses;
• Removes your listing from customer-facing discovery (Vendors and Riders).

Some records are kept for a limited time even after deletion, as required by Nigerian financial and tax regulation, and to preserve the order history of anyone you transacted with (a customer's past order shouldn't lose its vendor or rider name because that account was later deleted):

• Order and transaction records: retained for 7 years, per Nigerian financial regulations.
• KYC identity documents (Vendors, Riders): retained for 5 years, per anti-money-laundering regulations.
• Chat and support communications: retained for 2 years.

This mirrors the retention periods in our Privacy Policy. To request early erasure of retained data, subject to these legal obligations, email info@trykugoo.com.
